Dr. Val is a behavioural neuroscientist with expertise in fear, anxiety, social behaviour, and neurodegenerative conditions like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. With a passion for making brain science clear and practical, she bridges the gap between research and real life. Dr. Val teaches at university, consults across education and wellness sectors, and hosts the Neuro-Spiritual Awakening Podcast. Her mission is to bring neuroscience out of the lab and to the people - where it truly makes a difference!

Background
Dr. Val is a Russian-born, Montreal-raised neuroscientist now based in Australia. She’s passionate about translating complex brain science into practical tools that enhance wellbeing and performance—both personally and professionally.
In 2021, Dr. Val stepped out of the lab to bring neuroscience to the people—where it belongs—by founding Love of Brain. Today, she continues to teach at university while leading her business, offering consulting, online courses, workshops and mentorship. She’s also an avid kitesurfer and a proud mother of two, integrating science, soul, and spirit into everyday life.
